Premium Quality Aquaculture
Our cold productive waters produce a hard and robust oyster seed at a competitive cost. Because there is no natural population of Pacific Oysters, disease risk is the lowest on the west coast.
Ketchikan is the extreme northern range of the Pacific Geoduck. Our broodstock is exceptionally fat and fecund. Our high-health Geoduck and Oyster seed is certified for instate, interstate and international distribution by Ralph Elston of Aquatechnics Inc.

Advanced aquaculture techniques producing millions of high-quality seed
Oyster Larvae Production
We set 15 million oyster larvae every two weeks. The secret to our exceptionally low rate of doubles lies in the careful processing of our ground shell.
Advanced Rearing Systems
Post set, oyster seed are reared in high flow fluidizing tubes and high velocity upwelling cylinders at 18-20°C up to 2-3mm.
Nutritious Micro-Algae
Fed on a seven species proprietary mix of nutritious micro-algae, ensuring optimal growth and health of our seed stock.
Quality Control Process
Hand Grading
All of our oyster seed is hand graded to ensure consistent quality and size.
Daily Rinsing
All seed is rinsed daily with chlorine to maintain health and prevent disease.
Weekly Sieving
Hand sieved weekly to assure uniformity and produce a deep cupped round shell shape.
Specialized Breeding Program
Our broodstock management program focuses on maintaining genetic diversity and optimal health. We carefully select breeding pairs based on size, health, and genetic markers to ensure robust offspring.
The controlled environment of our hatchery allows us to monitor spawning conditions precisely, timing fertilization events to maximize larval survival and quality. This attention to detail results in consistently high-quality seed stock.

State-of-the-Art Facility
Our modern hatchery facility features advanced filtration systems, temperature-controlled environments, and specialized equipment designed for optimal shellfish production. The facility maintains strict biosecurity protocols to ensure the health of our stock.

Outdoor Finishing Systems
The seed is then finished up to 7-10mm in fluidized outdoor upwelling cylinders, fed on naturally occurring rich algal blooms supplemented with cultured algae. This natural feeding process enhances the robustness and survival rate of our seed stock.
Our outdoor systems take advantage of Alaska's pristine marine environment and natural plankton cycles. The combination of controlled nutrition and natural conditions produces exceptionally hardy seed that performs well in various environments.
